Hey babe I'm a massive fan of your blog!!! Just wanted to ask if you have any suggestions for me… In winter I never know what other shoes to wear besides boots. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pair of boots - but I want to mix it up a bit as well. Any suggestions? :) xx

Hey lovely,

Thank you so much- I'm so glad you enjoy Bellamente Style.

Great question! I am a massive sucker for ankle boots too, simply because I am so short and I love a bit of height. Day or night you will see me wearing them, even if its just down to the shops! Crazy, I know.

I'm glad you asked this question, because I too need to start mixing it up at bit as well. I own countless amounts of shoes, suitable for winter, but I always head back to the good old ankle boot.

I ask myself, and you as well though, is this really a problem? What I find is so great about the ankle boot is that you can a) purchase a variety of different styles, colours, shapes and heel heights, and b) they go with absolutely any outfit (and I'm not joking).

However, for those that do want to mix it up a bit, then I would definitely opt for the espadrille. This is a casual, flat shoe that usually has a cotton or canvas fabric upper, and a flexible sole made of rope or rubber material. These shoes are great for weekend or casual wear, and come in a seriously incredible range of patterns and styles. Seed, Zara, Witchery and Country Road all have some beautiful espadrilles in stock at the moment. However, if you're more of a designer label girl, then you cannot go past the classic Chanel espadrille- google it right now, you'll fall in love.

On the other hand, I also can't live without my Isabel Marant Bobby sneakers. Yes they are expensive, but yes they are equally amazing, and I am so very glad that I ended up purchasing them. These sneakers can take me from the office to a night out as they are extremely versatile and look incredible if you want to achieve a casual, yet cool look.

I hope this has helped you- good luck!
