This week I opted to style a black and white leopard print, as it contrasts exceptionally well with a biker mini skirt, or in an all-in-one cute mini dress. For something different I've modelled outfits with a lovely friend of mine, just for that extra touch of print and colour contrasting!
What is so spectacular about the leopard and leather look is that it can be worn day and night- with a simple change up of accessories. During the day a simple, felt, black hat is perfect during spring, or even a pair of tortoiseshell print sunglasses. For a perfect night time look, add a black clutch- I love this one from Collette with the ring shaped handle; and some sexy leather or black suede heels.
Working with the leather print trend is tricky, especially when deciding what to pair it with. You don't want to end up looking tacky and cheap- trust me its easy to do; but much easier to avoid if you follow my tips!
Dont go OTT with the prints and textures...
- Yes the combination of leather and leopard looks gorgeous, but go over the top and you run the risk of looking like a bikie girl gone wrong, rather than an edgy girl that knows exactly how to flaunt the look. Why not add a red or berry lipstick for a chic contrast that is bold and beautiful instead? It provides the right amount of statement and flair.
If you're not into the edgy biker look...
- Opt for some girly accessories like some cute leather sandals, plain silver jewellery, structured blazer, or even a headpiece!
You're stuck for accessory ideas...
- Try some plain, simple, silver jewellery such as a cute cuff or some silver plated rings. The outfit is already bold with the contrasting prints so try and keep the accessories toned down and simple.
To create the ultimate edgy - biker, yet also girly look I have paired a Bardot dress (look one) with block heels, felt hat and silver accessories. Look two focuses a lot more on the combination of leather and leopard, with the use of a white leopard shirt, leather skirt, leather cut-out heels and a bold necklace.

This gorgeous, bold and beautiful trend is forever being repeated across our runways, in our stores and on the street, so why not give it a go- but remember: less is more!
