"Fashion designers are dictators of taste."
- Karl Lagerfeld

Today I thought I'd showcase some of my favourite Australian fashion designers. Australia is lucky to have some of these amazing designers producing items that are so unique and stylish.

Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston are the dynamic duo behind the Sydney-based label known as Bec & Bridge. This label is known for their elegant lines and chic silhouettes. Celebrity fans include Kim Kardashian and Miranda Kerr! I personally love the freshness of this brand, and especially the way you feel when wearing the garments! Here are my favourites from the A/W collection.

Brother and sister duo, Camilla and Marc Freeman launched their very popular label at the 2003 Australian Fashion Week and have since then become well known for establishing a sophisticated tone that reflects the Australian lifestyle. Their signature product offerings include luxe-party wear, classic tailoring and separates. Below are some of my favourites from their current A/W 2013 collection.

Kim Ellery is the genius behind the amazing brand, Ellery. Launching her label in 2007, it has since succeeded in providing people with an effortlessly fierce and confident look. Kim uses strong silhouettes and daring combinations of textures in her collection. She also designs a beautiful range of sunglasses which I love!!

Josh Goot. What can I say! I love him and his work! He first started his label in 2004, and has since then definitely succeeded in being one of the top Australian fashion designers. He is well known for producing designs that have minimal aesthetics, clean, crisp lines, bold colour and colour blocking, and are easily accessible. Every season he produces such beautiful designs! Here are my favourites from the current collection.

Manning Cartel was founded in Sydney in 2005 by sisters Cheryl, Vanessa, and Gabrielle Manning. These designers specialise their products in being modern, strong, and independent with both masculine and feminine structure. The fabric that they use is absolutely fabulous! Here are my A/W faves.

And finally, how could I forget my all time favourite Sass and Bide! Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke are the founders of this stunning Australian brand. They are known for their signature embellishments which has included seeds, raffia, teeth, shells and metal. I don't know about you, but I am always in the Sass and Bide store at the Canberra Centre wishing I could purchase everything!

Hope you enjoyed my list and that its inspired you to go shopping!
